I’m Jake Spencer, a passionate Game Designer and programmer with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science – Game Design and am currently completing my Master’s in Computer Science with a focus in AI.
From a young age, role-playing games captured my imagination — not just as entertainment, but as living worlds that shaped my creativity and curiosity. Through my work, I strive to create those same feelings of wonder, immersion, and connection for the next generation of players. My primary focus lies in RPG system design — crafting deep, interconnected mechanics that support player choice, narrative progression, and emotional investment. I believe that great design lives at the intersection of mechanics and meaning, where every rule, roll, and response contributes to storytelling.
Recently, my love for game design has led me to explore the cooperative potential of artificial intelligence — not as a replacement for human creativity, but as a partner in enhancing player experiences. My current project, the AI Dungeon Master, combines narrative AI with tabletop mechanics to create dynamic, adaptive campaigns that respond to the player’s imagination in real time.

Kaidan: Academia
A 3rd person Creature Raising RPG with turn based combat. Focuses on raising your own creature, on a time based system, and allowing the way you nurture them to matter.

Kaidan: Greymanor
A 3rd person RPG. Heavy focus on player choice, an intriguing story, and world systems working together to create a unique experience.

AI GM
The AI Dungeon Master prototype establishes the foundation for an AI-assisted tabletop experience, using Python and Streamlit to design a responsive, game-ready interface that supports storytelling, encounters, and Game Master tools.
